Welcome to Mountain Spring Farm in beautiful
Springville, Alabama. We are located about 25 miles northeast of
Birmingham just off Interstate 59.
Our goal is to breed and raise quality horses for
show or pleasure. We choose our broodmares and stallions based on
pedigree, conformation and attitude.
All of our horses are of good lineage and are
registered with the American Paint Horse Association (APHA), American
Quarter Horse Association (AQHA), or the Jockey Club (JC). Our one
exception is an Anglo-Arabian mare, registered with The International
Arabian Horse Association.
In addition to the requisite characteristics
mentioned above, we are focusing on breeding horses of color: in particular,
black, dun, grullo, cremello, palomino and buckskin.

Our 2000 APHA Paint stallion is homozygous for
the tobiano pattern and the black base color pigment, thus ensuring all
foals sired by him will be "painted".
Our 2002 AQHA Cremello stallion carries two "CR"
(cremello or palomino) genes, which means that all his babies will be
cremello or palomino, except for an occasional "smokey black."
